山水禪寂14首寒山詩(shī)英譯輯錄（2）

寒山為唐代隱于天臺(tái)寒巖的布衣禪僧，詩(shī)作以山野日常融空寂禪理，語(yǔ)言淺白蘊(yùn)深意，深刻影響中日韓東亞禪隱文學(xué)。本輯收錄十四首寒山主題山水禪詩(shī)，英譯恪守信達(dá)雅、功能對(duì)等、以詩(shī)譯詩(shī)、重神似準(zhǔn)則，堅(jiān)持不增譯、留留白。譯文嚴(yán)格做到原詩(shī)一句對(duì)應(yīng)英文一行，采用 AABB/ABAB 尾韻，以整齊詩(shī)行還原漢詩(shī)一句一意的節(jié)奏，用簡(jiǎn)約雋永英文意象傳遞寒山詩(shī)超脫塵俗、清凈空靈的禪境。

1. 欲向寒山住

欲向寒山住，寒山靜寂寥。

云生千嶂合，風(fēng)定萬(wàn)松高。

野鹿眠青草，山猿嘯碧霄。

此間無(wú)俗事，一臥遠(yuǎn)塵囂。

ToDwell in Cold Mountain

Ilong to dwell on Cold Mountain side,

Wheresilence reigns and cares subside.

Cloudsrise to veil the peaks in fold,

Windscalm, tall pines stand firm and bold.

Wilddeer lie on the grassy ground,

Apeshowl to heaven with a sound.

Nomundane things here e'er appear,

Onerest—and worldly noise Iclear.

2. 寒山一片雪

寒山一片雪，萬(wàn)里絕塵埃。

石徑無(wú)人跡，柴門(mén)盡不開(kāi)。

孤松凌冷霧，寒月照蒼苔。

獨(dú)坐心無(wú)事，悠悠絕掛懷。

Snowon Cold Mountain

Snowon Cold Mountain lies so white,

Tenthousand li clear of dust and blight.

Nofootprints mark the stone-paved way,

Thewicket gate is shut all day.

Alone pine braves the freezing mist,

Coldmoon on mossy stones has kissed.

AloneI sit with mind at rest,

Freefrom all cares, by none oppressed.

3. 山中何所有

山中何所有，嶺上白云多。

只可自怡悅，不堪持贈(zèng)他。

WhatDwells in Mountains

Whatdoes the mountain hold for me?

Whiteclouds on ridges—many and free.

Theyonly please my own heart's glee,

Butcannot be given to others, you see.

4. 澗水泠泠清見(jiàn)底

澗水泠泠清見(jiàn)底，松風(fēng)謖謖靜無(wú)塵。

幽人獨(dú)坐空山內(nèi)，一念心空萬(wàn)事泯。

ClearBrook Stream

Brookwater ripples clear to stone,

Pinewinds sigh still, no dust is known.

Ahermit sits in mountain deep,

Oneempty thought makes woes asleep.

5. 空山無(wú)人跡

空山無(wú)人跡，終日自悠悠。

葉落無(wú)人掃，云來(lái)自去留。

Emptyhills bear no human trace,

Allday long they drift in quiet grace.

Fallenleaves lie unswept by hand,

Cloudscome and go at their own command.

6. 鳥(niǎo)入深林靜

鳥(niǎo)入深林靜，云歸萬(wàn)壑幽。

一心無(wú)掛礙，萬(wàn)事不須愁。

Deep Woods Hush

Birds enter deep woods, stillnessgrows,

Clouds sink to valleys, dim repose.

A heart unbound by any tie,

No worldly cares need make one sigh.

7. 我居寒山舍

我居寒山舍，四壁盡虛空。

饑煮山中菜，寒燒松下蓬。

不交名利客，獨(dú)伴白云翁。

榮辱皆?huà)亝s，悠然悟大同。

8. 布衣蓬鬢老煙霞

布衣蓬鬢老煙霞，不向紅塵逐榮華。

終日空山觀(guān)云起，一瓢清水煮山茶。

Robeand Wild Hair

Inrough cloth, hair unkempt, I age in mist and haze,

Inever chase the world's glory or its blaze.

Allday in empty hills I watch clouds rise and part,

Onegourd of clear water brews tea from mountain heart.

9.天生一老朽

天生一老朽，獨(dú)坐白云阿。

不戀人間祿，甘守寒山阿。

饑餐松柏子，渴飲澗清波。

萬(wàn)事皆?huà)伾幔瑹o(wú)心苦樂(lè)多。

AWeathered Old Man

Heavenmade this old decayed man,

Sittingalone by cloud banks' span.

Icrave no mortal rank or pay,

Contentto stay on Cold Mountain's way.

Hungry,I eat pine seeds small,

Thirsty,drink from the brook's fall.

Allworldly things I cast away,

Heartknows no joy or grief—I say.

10.昔日繁華夢(mèng)

昔日繁華夢(mèng)，今朝草莽身。

一歸寒巖下，不復(fù)戀風(fēng)塵。

OnceI dreamed of splendid days,

NowI'm but a man in weeds and haze.

SinceI returned to cold crags' side,

Nomore for worldly dust I'll bide.

11.貪名貪利人

貪名貪利人，終日苦勞神。

何如寒巖客，逍遙自在身。

12.世事浮如云

世事浮如云，浮生夢(mèng)一春。

Mortallife is a spring dream passing by.

Calmmy heart on green ridges to stay,

Longa fugitive from strife, far away.

13.世間名利客

世間名利客，擾擾競(jìng)奔波。

豈識(shí)寒山子，清閑樂(lè)更多。

FamePursuers

Menchasing fame and profit in the world,

Bustleand rush, with toil unfurled.

Howcould they know Cold Mountain's son,

14.貪財(cái)又好色

貪財(cái)又好色，終日惹災(zāi)殃。

一念迷塵境，千劫墮苦鄉(xiāng)。

早尋清凈路，莫逐世間忙。

Greedfor Gold and Beauty

Greedyfor wealth and lustful for looks,

Theycourt disasters with every hook.

Onethought bemused by mortal dust,

Dragsthrough kalpas of pain and rust.

Seekthe clear path at early dawn,

Don'trun with the world's busy spawn.

翻譯說(shuō)明

本輯譯文嚴(yán)格遵循信達(dá)雅、功能對(duì)等、以詩(shī)譯詩(shī)、重神似的翻譯準(zhǔn)則，嚴(yán)守不增譯、該留白的要留白的創(chuàng)作要求。相較于常規(guī)散體譯法，本次譯文實(shí)現(xiàn)原詩(shī)單句對(duì)應(yīng)英文單行，完整保留漢詩(shī)一句一意的意象分層；采用 AABB、ABAB傳統(tǒng)英詩(shī)尾韻，兼顧誦讀韻律美。語(yǔ)言簡(jiǎn)凈質(zhì)樸，規(guī)避繁復(fù)修飾，以短句留白還原寒山詩(shī)淡遠(yuǎn)空靈的禪意，平衡形式對(duì)等、文本忠實(shí)與文學(xué)審美。

因水平有限，譯作仍存在不足，敬請(qǐng)專(zhuān)家學(xué)者和讀者批評(píng)指正。筆者愿為中華文化出海減少“文化折扣”貢獻(xiàn)綿薄之力。
