7月6日晚，湖北東部多地遭遇強對流天氣襲擊，發生強降雨和雷暴大風，部分鄉鎮出現龍卷風，多地受災。鄂州名門世家小區6樓一戶四口人家，有3人被大風卷走墜樓，不幸身亡，唯一幸存者是剛中考完的大兒子。
A 15-year-old boy became the sole survivor after a tornado struck Central China's Hubei province, killing his parents and three-year-old brother as they were blown from their sixth-floor apartment.
The tornado was part of severe convective weather that brought torrential rain and strong winds to several areas of eastern Hubei on the night of Monday.
據親屬秋女士（化姓）講述，事發當晚風雨驟至，堂妹夫妻倆急忙去關窗戶，不料窗戶全部脫落，當時小兒子也在一旁。
幾秒內，三人全被大風卷下樓，落在三樓的一個平臺上，家里的沙發、冰箱和餐桌椅子也被悉數卷下，全部壓在堂妹夫的頭上。
According to a relative, the boy's parents were closing the windows when the frames gave way. Within seconds, they and the toddler were swept out of the apartment by the powerful winds.
秋女士稱，事發時，大兒子小熊（化名）幸好在另一邊關窗戶。玻璃碎了，孩子受傷后，全身是血，跑到房間躲避。等到出來一看，發現父母和弟弟都不在了，出門尋找，發現三個親人全部倒在三樓平臺。孩子悲痛欲絕，趕緊跑到5樓求救，“（孩子）看到了第一現場，陰影很深。”
The teenager, identified by the pseudonym Xiaoxiong, was on the other side of the apartment closing another window. Injured by shattered glass, he survived and later found his parents and younger brother on a third-floor platform before seeking help.
小熊今年15歲，是這場災難中唯一的幸存者，上個月他剛參加完中考。他介紹，父親是當地小學的一名老師，母親是自由職業者，弟弟今年僅3歲。
目前，小熊已被送往附近醫院接受救治。問及未來，他稱自己不知所措，不知道怎么辦。
小熊稱，龍卷風來襲時其父親手機也被風卷走了，里面存有家人生前大量影像資料，希望能找回來，“父親的手機是一部黑色的vivo Y35”。
Now receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, Xiaoxiong said he feels lost about the future. He also hopes to recover his father's black Vivo Y35 smartphone, which was blown away in the storm and contains precious photos and videos of his family.
