More than 98% of Chinese college students have used AI tools in their academic studies, with nearly half using them daily, according to a survey by China Youth Daily.
However, 57.07% of students reported having been misled by AI answers, and nearly half acknowledged that over-reliance on AI had weakened their independent thinking skills.
Professor Meng Tianguang from Tsinghua Universitywarnedthat excessive dependencemayundermine students' ability to engage with the real world.In his view, Students should understand the boundaries of AI use andmaintain their independence, creativity, and autonomy.
