Neymar announced his retirement from international football with the Brazilian national team following their Round of 16 exit at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After Brazil's 2-1 loss to Norway at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the 34-year-old forward emotionalized, "It is now over."
